The Arsenal Of Faith

Tonight we will be preaching through Ezra 8. In this chapter Ezra recounts for us the journey from Babylon to Jerusalem. This almost 1000 mile journey would be fraught with danger. They are traveling a difficult route, as a substantial group of people, with seemingly little protection & with great riches (25 tons of silver and 4 tons of gold). They are open targets, making a journey they believe they have been called to make, back to their homeland of Jerusalem. The journey itself takes significant faith and in Ezra’s recounting we find that Ezra also displays a great faith before King Artaxerxes. Where does this faith come from? How is this faith sustained and strengthened along the way? Ezra displays for us two significant weapons that God grants to us to strengthen and affirm faith. Tonight we will look at the first of these weapons together. Join us as we look at Ezra 8.
