KIDS & FAMILY
Village Kids Worship
Each Sunday evening, during our worship gathering, we have programming for kids (infants through 2nd grade). We have a nursery for infants through age two, and a younger kids class for ages 3-2nd Grade. Kids from 3rd-5th Grade meet every other Sunday from 3:30-4:30.
Kids are very important to us here at The Village Church and we strive to create a safe & fun environment for them each week where they can make new friends, play, sing, and learn about Jesus. Each week our trained kids workers will create an experience that your kids will love filled with games, music, a snack, and a Bible lesson. The kids will always have something to take home so that they can continue talking about the lesson they learned on Sunday with their parents throughout the week.
We also feel that it is important that kids have an opportunity to worship with their parents and the entire church community. For this reason our older kids class meets before church so they can worship with their families and experience our whole worship gathering. Our younger kids class returns to the gathering after Communion to worship with us at the end of our worship service.
Village Kids Hangouts
On the 2nd Saturday of each month we offer our Village Kids Hangouts. Each month we offer intentional discipleship & fun for all of the kids at The Village Church. We believe that the best way to connect with and disciple our kids is through intentional, small group connections. To that end each month we pair up a few kids with a couple of adults for a day of fun, intentional conversation and discipleship. Each group has a different experience that they participate in, but the goal for all groups is the same: invest in the lives of kids in order to point them to Jesus!
For a list of upcoming Village Kids Hangout experiences please see our events page.
Movies On The Lawn
Each Summer & Fall we are excited to hold Movies On The Lawn here at The Village Church or at Barack Recreation Center. These will be fantastic events not only for our kids and their families but for all those at The Village and in our neighborhood to come out for a fun evening of a movie on the big screen. We will always show "family friendly" films, provide drinks and popcorn (of course) for our movies. ALL are invited to join us as we gather on the church lawn or at Barack Rec Center to enjoy a fun evening together. Check out our events page for more information and upcoming movies.
