Bible Study

Every other Monday evening, we have our men's and women's Bible studies.  Our hope at The Village is that every committed follower of Jesus Christ would have a thirst for knowing Jesus and His Word more deeply.  Therefore, that they will become more devoted followers of our Lord & Savior Jesus Christ.

The men's group meets at Zack Ruder's home (808 Heyl Ave) from 8:00-9:30 p.m. and are studying the book of Proverbs.

The women's group meets at Jamie Carlisle’s home (580 Frebis Avenue) from 7:30-9 p.m. and are working through Jen Wilkin's study on the book of Hebrews.

One-on-One Discipleship

We believe that discipleship should be one of the primary missions of the church.  Our desire at The Village is to pursue greater maturity in our relationship with Jesus Christ.  We long to develop and invest in individuals to know and love Jesus with each and every aspect of their lives.  We also long to raise up passionate leaders who have a desire to proclaim and spread the Gospel both in and outside of the Church.  We believe that one of the best ways to develop spiritual maturity, an integrated life of faith and greater zeal in our walk with the Lord is through one-on-one discipleship.

At The Village we strive to pair up all of our members with another church member for one-on-one discipleship.  In these relationships you will study God's Word together, read important books of the Christian faith, discuss how faith should can be integrated into each arena of life, confess sin and pursue greater holiness together & spend time in prayer together.  In short, our discipleship is designed to form a deeper affection for Christ that overflows to all areas of their lives.

We only have men disciple men and women disciple women.  Also, we always work to pair more mature followers of Christ who have walked through our one-on-one discipleship experience with someone who is younger in their walk with the Lord.  We also believe that once you have walked in a one-on-one discipleship relationship for an extended period of time that you should also begin discipling others, so we are continually working to have new folks investing by leading these discipleship relationships.

We also seek to place children of covenant members into one-on-one discipleship relationships with older men and women. These relationships also become significant times of studying God’s Word, prayer and fellowship.

We are so excited about our discipleship here at The Village and invite you to be a part of our church and this pursuit to know & love God more deeply through these discipleship relationships.  If you ever have any questions about our discipleship or would like more information please get in touch with any of Elders.
