In short, our Community Groups are all about Jesus. Jesus died for us, Jesus gives us new life, and now Jesus has called us to live together, loving and supporting one another as family. We are also called to be on mission for Him, sharing His love and grace with the world around us.
Community Groups are the primary way we connect with others and live our lives on mission for Jesus. These smaller groups of people (10-20) provide an opportunity to know others and be known within the larger Village community. Through these relationships, we mutually challenge and encourage one another to truly believe our identity in Christ and live life in specific ways that show the world who God truly is.
Each Community Group meets weekly to study God’s Word, pray and be challenged to live together as the body of Christ. Our hope is that we would challenge one another to live out the Gospel in real and tangible expressions. We share a meal each week as well and kids are always welcome at all groups.
Whether you consider yourself part of the The Village family—or if you're just checking out what it looks like to live as Jesus lived—it is our desire that everyone would be an active member in one of these communities that bring life, healing and growth.
Joining a Group
We have arranged our groups in various locations throughout the city so that you are able to choose a group closer to home. If you’re interested in joining one of our groups, please reach out to Pastor Zack Ruder (zack@villagechurchcolumbus.com) to discuss which one is a good fit for you. Once in a group, we encourage you to stay connected via our Church Center app, which provides regular updates and allows you to communicate with its members.
