All These Things

Tonight we finish Genesis 42 by looking at verses 35-38. In these concluding verses of the chapter we see Jacob’s reaction to his sons’ experiences in Egypt. Jacob’s response is one of despair and victimhood. He fails to see a bigger picture and lacks the faith to trust in God and His covenant. Jacob’s circumstances surely would warrant such a response, though, right? Join us as we study Jacob’s reaction and posture and seek to truly understand where the phrase “all these things” truly applies to our God and His people.
