Defeated

Tonight we look at Genesis 44:1-17. As the story of Joseph’s interaction with his brothers continues, we find Joseph enacting a plan that God will use to bring the brothers to a sweet redemption. As we will encounter in these verses, the brothers will be brought to their knees as their self-sufficiency is completely defeated. This is how redemption works. We must be brought low. We must come to an understanding, a deep understanding, of our own sin and need. It is through the defeat of our own pride and self-sufficiency that God’s all-sufficient grace is found. Join us as we see the brothers arrive at this point in their lives and begin to see God’s redemptive plan unfold.
