Today we look at Ezekiel 29-32. In these four chapters we have the final of seven oracles of judgment that Ezekiel gives against surrounding nations. This final oracle (composed of seven “mini-oracles”), stretching across four chapters, is aimed specifically at Egypt. The judgments that God gives of Egypts downfall, though, are given to the exiled people of Judah for a specific reason - they are meant to see their own folly for trusting in this foreign nation to save them. Judah’s lack of trust in God and His promises resulted in a lack of intimacy with their God, which lead to all forms of sin and wickedness. Today, we are meant to see the important connection between trust and intimacy. Join us as we work through these chapters to understand this connection more fully.
